Very rare Accurist Chronograph with original bracelet MB737
This has been a joy to have in my collection as it has the look of something else, so makes quite an attention when they discover its an Accurist, then with the history of Accurist makes it way more interesting than a new micro brand with nothing to its name.
The build quality is really high quality, and the movement feels very tight like Swiss.
I can't find any information about this model MB737 especially what the star on the back case means, if anyone knows please message and I'll add it in the description. The three sub-dials show 24hrs, counting seconds hand and the 60mins stopwatch dial. The seconds dial has the date window just in case you haven't noticed. The large second hand runs with the stopwatch, and does have a flyback function which can be operated during the stopwatch timing.
The markers and the main time hands glow a nice blue, similar to Citizen's.
Has a nice depth in the dial with the tachometer chapter ring.
One thing when I originally bought this watch was the bezel, as I'm not a fan of fake diver style bezels, for me it's there for a function, so you'll be pleased it does offer a 60click unidirectional direction.
Now the sad side but it's also the side that gives it character is the marks on the crystal. Now these are more seen when under bright lighting, but face on it's not noticeable, but as I like things more original, it's best you see its full history vision, than just replacing it to hide that side. Crystals aren't expensive just to add, but you won't get this type of charm with a brand new crystal in my opinion. The general case is in used original condition with no defects, also the original bracelet is a lovely addition, and I've added a bracelet extender for those bigger wrist guys like me, but for those who are more into the leather, I've included a brand new strap that hasn't been worn, even has the protective sticker on the buckle, and it's a ZULU strap too, so nice quality and gives the watch some nice vintage.
I have no idea the age of this watch, and at a guess would see it as late 90's early 2000's.
The crown is a good size, but isn't screw down, and the pushers have a nice tactile feel when pressed.
It's 100m water resist too, which has been tested just to add, but has had a new RENATA battery fitted with the gasket siliconed
I'm sure I can talk more about it but will leave it with the option to ask me more if needed, and one last thing, the measurements...
44.2mm Case width
22mm Lug width
47mm Lug to lug
Thanks for passing
